FAQs

Q: Will I meet my dog walker?
A: Yes. We offer a free consultation where you and your dog will both meet your dog walker. During this session your walker will spend time ensuring that they understand your dog's personality and needs.
Q: How many dogs are walked at any one time?
A: According to our policy, any one walker is permitted to walk no more than 5 dogs at one time. Sometimes our walkers walk together, giving your dog a few extra playmates. Dogs can also be walked one on one if requested by you. Please contact us to hear more about what walkers and pooches live in your area.
Q: Is my puppy old enough to be walked in a group?
A: If your puppy has had all of his/her vaccinations (normally the necessary vaccinations are complete when the puppy is 12 weeks
old) then the puppy is old enough to be walked in a group situation. Dogs must be able to be handled on a leash, or be recalled. This will be checked during the trial period.
Q: How do you arrange picking up and dropping off the dogs?
A: We will collect your dog from your house, and then return them safely after their walk. During the first meeting with you and your dog we will arrange how we will gain access to your house. If we need keys, ask that these are ready for collection during this meeting.
Q: What areas do you cover?
A: We cover most areas in and around Inverness. We are looking to expand this further, so if you and your pet live somewhere we haven't mentioned please contact us and we will be happy to try to help you.
Q: Do you do out of hours walking?
A: Yes. Please contact us for further details.
Q: How much do you charge?
A: We charge a basic rate of £10 for a group walk, and £15 for an on-leash private walk.
Q: Are you insured?
A: Yes. Inverness Dog Walkers are fully insured by a specialist pet care insurance agency. If you would like more information or to see a copy of our insurance certificate, please contact us and we will be happy to oblige.
Q: What is your cancellation policy?
A: If you have to cancel an appointment, please contact us by telephone giving us at least 24 hours notice.
Q: What do you do in case of an emergency?
A: In the unlikely event of an emergency, we will immediately call and notify you. If veterinary assistance is required, we will take your dog to your nominated vet or to the nearest possible one depending on the circumstances.
